APPLICATION
VISA & Entry
All students must secure the appropriate visa or entry authorization before arriving in Korea. Please contact the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate immediately after receiving your acceptance to confirm visa requirements and processing timelines.
K-ETA Eligible (No Visa Required)
Nationals of OECD member states and other eligible countries may enter Korea without a visa for short-term stays of up to 90 days.
Instead, travelers must obtain a Korean Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA).
Applications should be submitted at least 48 hours prior to departure.
Check your eligibility here: K-ETA Official Website
Not Eligible for K-ETA (Visa Required)
Nationals of countries not covered by K-ETA must apply for a proper visa.
Upon completing your program application and tuition payment, Sogang University will issue the required documents (e.g. Certificate of Admission, Business Registration Certificate) to support your visa application.
You must then apply for a visa at the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate. Possible visa types include D-2-8 (Short-term Student Visa).
Please consult your local embassy for guidance on the most appropriate visa category.
