142025.114. ACADEMIC MATTERSQ. How can I transfer my credits earned at Sogang to my home university? Before you come to study at Sogang, make sure that you will be able to get the credits received at Sogang approved by your home university. After the end of each semester, the Office of International Affairs will send official transcripts to your home university. (Spring semester- around August, Fall semester- around February). It is recommended that you keep the class syllabus for transfer of your credits earned at Sogang.Q.How many hours will be conducted per course?Morning Class, 10:00am ~ 1:00pmAfternoon Class, 2:00pm ~ 5:00pm Q.How many courses can I take?All SISP students must take two courses (3 credits per course). Q.Can I take courses on a Pass/Fail basis?If a student fails to meet the minimum requirements (attendance, grade) to pass a course, grades will not be given as well as the certificate. Q.Is it possible to get a syllabus for a SISP course?Yes. Syllabi will be posted once the courses are confirmed with assigned professors. No. All courses with the exception of the Korean Language Course are conducted in English..

142025.113. PRE-DEPARTUREQ. I can’t upload my insurance policy in the application portal Once your application is submitted, you cannot update it manually. If you’ve already submitted your application, please, send your policy tosummer@sogang.ac.kr Q. What types of insurance are acceptable? In accordance with Korean regulations, all students participating in our program are required to have medical insurance. As for the specific requirements, your insurance must: •Cover anyemergency medical situationsthat may occur during your stay in Korea •Fully cover theentire durationof your stay Commonly accepted options include travel insurance or short-term study abroad insurance. Q. Is there a pick-up service offered by Sogang? We will be operating pick-up bus from one of the nearest subway station from the campus. There will be some buddies from Sogang to help out students. Arrival to airport - Limousine bus to Mapo station - Pick-up service to the dorm - Gonzaga hall(on-campus dorm) •Buddies will help out the first two steps. We will also share you the pre-departure handout for more information during May with more detailed instructions.Q. Does the dormitory offer or rent bedding for students?You can order rental bedding through our partnered agency. We will share the order link closer to the program date. Q. I couldn’t take the TB test before arriving in Seoul. What should I do? There is a hospital nearby campus where you can take TB test. The result will come out on the day you take the test.

142025.112. VISAQ. Do I have to apply for a visa? If you are from one of OECD member states, you do not need to apply for visa for a short term stay of less than 90 days. Instead, those who are exempt from visa requirement must apply for K-ETA. You can check if your country is eligible for visa exemption on the website below. https://www.k-eta.go.kr/portal/guide/viewetaalification.do Q. Do I need to apply for K-ETAin all cases? A few designated are temporarily exempt from K-ETA requirement. You can find whether your country is eligible for K-ETA exemption on the website below. https://shorturl.at/udeew Q. What type of visa do I have to apply for? Students must visit the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate to obtain a D-2-8 Short-term Student Visa. Q. Can I stay a bit longer than the date my visa says? Typically, there is a grace period for the D2 Visa holders. You may leave a few days after the visa expires. During this period, departure from Korea is still permitted without issue. However, if you plan to stay beyond that period, we strongly recommend consulting the Korean Immigration Office directly, as universities do not have authority provide or process visa-related changes.

142025.111. APPLICATIONQ. What are the requirements to participate in the Sogang International Summer Program? The SISP welcomes any student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, or high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited university. Those who already graduated from those institutes are also welcomed. Q. I already submitted my application. When can I get the Letter of Acceptance? We issue an official acceptance letter to students after the tuition payment has been completed. Q.Is there any scholarship that Sogang offers? We provide various types of tuition reductions for eligible student. You can find the details on Fees & Scholarship session on our website. Q.What is the deadline for 2026 Sogang International Summer Program application? 11:59 p.m., May 15, 2026 (Korean Standard Time, UTC+9) Q. How and When can I find out about the admission results?
